Dr. Dawodu joins the Capital Region Spine practice as a board-certified specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with sub-specialization and board certifications in Pain Medicine, Spinal cord injury Medicine, Sports Medicine and Electrodiagnostic Medicine. He started postgraduate residency training in Orthopedic Surgery in the United Kingdom under the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and he is a diplomate of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, with subsequent residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Medicine and Pain Medicine at Albany Medical Center, Albany, NY.

His area of medical practice includes interventional spine pain management using the latest techniques in treating neck pain, back pain, complex regional pain syndrome, spasms using Botox and Electrodiagnostic studies.

Dr. Dawodu is presently an Associate Professor of Physical Medicine and Pain Management at Albany Medical College.

He is on the specialist license list with some state medical boards in the USA, UK’s General Medical Council, Trinidad & Tobago Medical Board and the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (Added Qualification List). He is also certified in Medical Informatics (Medical Computer/IT)

He is a member of many professional and academic organizations including committees of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPMR) and American Academy of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine(AANEM), a member of Editorial board of the AAPMR Knowledge-Now, board examiner of the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine and is well published in many peer reviewed journals including Emedicine, Archives of Physical Medicine rehabilitation, etc.

He has a law degree from University of London, UK and an MBA degree from Johns Hopkins University Carey Business School, Baltimore, MD.

Dr. Dawodu is also a private pilot certified to fly a Cessna 172 solo.

His other hobbies include being a webmaster and chief editor of pmrehab.com, dawodu.com and edo-nation.net. He is also well travelled having been to about 62 countries in the world in Europe, North America, Asia, Africa, South-America and Australasia.
